aiyoh....received my singtel bill...
thinking of switching my singtel plan...upgrading it to another more expensive plan with more talk time...but my current plan still has another year to go...will they still allow me to upgrade? The new plan i am going to take is still from Singtel.
Current plan is unable to satisfy my talk time anymore...

if my current plan still has another year to go, and i upgrade to a new plan, will the new plan stay valid only for a year?
subscription plan can change (upgrade at no charge. cannot downgrade)
the contract will be tied to the day u purchase the new fone
plan is not affected
if u change 1 year later, ur contract still is 2 years from the day u bought the fone

i am lucky that i haven't bought the diamond phone yet....because now i am looking at Samsung Omnia!!

If anyone is thinking of changing hp (ie. recontract), you can simply call the hotlines of various telco to obtain S$50 handset vouchers. My fren has been doing that for years now. Recently to buy an expensive Samsung phone, she called 3 times to get 3 x S$50 vouchers, thus chopping off S$150 from her new phone price.
I din know we can do that!!! Now WE know!!

Yes everyone, CONFIRMED. I checked with my fren to make sure did not fool you all. Even played with her phone to make sure it's real! She really got 3 pieces of handset vouchers, which promptly gave $50x3 off her purchase, of coz, at tat time she also recontract another 24 mths la.
Apparently, she did it many times with Starhub/M1, coz she represent family members to call whenever contract expiring and they need a new phone. Not sure if singtel can coz her family no one using singtel.

Errr how did she do it ah? what she say? oh i want to recontract my phone contract so can i have phone vouchers? then she called everyday 3 times in a row or she called after she got each voucher? her 3 handset vouchers is all under her name?
Mine is the starhub hubber bonus that allows me to recontract every year instead of 20 months...do i get the same treatment?

i haven taken note of this and will try it once my singtel contract is due for renewal...which is actually still quite some time away....hmmm....in july next year...
